NAP Tax Credits

Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits are sold out for 2017.  If you are interested in NAP tax credits for 2018, please contact Maggie after January 1st.

How does it work? NAP credits are a great way to support Habitat while gaining significant tax credits. Donations of $100 or more are eligible for a 50% tax credit and a deduction at the federal level if you itemize. Each $100 in gifts from an Indiana resident whose tax bracket is 28% generates an estimated $64 in tax savings ($50 NAP tax credit and $14 in federal tax savings), thus each $100 you give costs you only $36 (check with your financial advisor to see how NAP will work for you).

NAP Donations are specifically designated and cannot be applied towards other Habitat funds.  For questions and to check for availability of credits for 2016, please contact Maggie Wimberly at the Wabash County Habitat for Humanity office at 260-563-9188. Gifts are processed in the order in which they are received.

Nickels for Nails (N4N)

Nickels for Nails (N4N) is an initiative created that enables youth ages 5-25 to raise funds for their local Habitat for Humanity. Youth participate as individuals or groups, collecting as many nickels as possible (though any denomination is accepted) through ongoing efforts and special fund drives throughout the year. Teachers or youth group coordinators who sign up for the program receive labels for their coin collection container and other helpful resources. As an added incentive, top fundraising groups and individuals are recognized for their achievements every year.

Wabash County Habitat for Humanity encourages engaging our youth at a young age, even before they can come on site and build or renovate homes, By doing so, we are instilling a spirit of volunteerism and support for all aspects of our work and the community.  For further information as to how you can enroll your  group or class in this program, contact Maggie at the Habitat office at (260) 563-9188 or at Maggiew@wabashhabitat.org, or complete the registration form below and drop it off or mail it to the Habitat office at 375 Manchester Avenue in Wabash.
