Our ReStore Partner

Local Habitat for Humanity Affiliates Begin Retail Partnership

Wabash County and Huntington County Habitat for Humanity Affiliates have come together to better serve both communities. The Huntington County ReStore is a retail store which sells new and lightly used home improvement supplies, fixtures, and gently used furniture at a reduced price. All profits from the store go towards building more Habitat homes in the local area. Wabash County has teamed up with Huntington County to develop the local ReStore, bringing donated items from Wabash to be sold in Huntington.

ReStore Manager, JoAnn Burnau said, “We are excited about this new partnership with the Wabash County Habitat for Humanity. It is great to see two organizations with the same mission work together to serve more families.”  In this partnership the Huntington County ReStore will take donations from residents in the Wabash area for resale, and a portion of the profits will be given to the Wabash Habitat for Humanity. Wabash residents simply need to tell the ReStore staff member that it is a Wabash County donation, and the items will be tagged appropriately.  When the items sell, Wabash County Habitat will receive a portion of the proceeds.  Wabash County Habitat is encouraging residents of the Wabash area to bring their lightly used items such as building supplies, furniture, and housewares to the Huntington ReStore and to shop the Restore as well. For large items, the Huntington County ReStore can be contacted for pick up.  For more information about Huntington County Habitat for Humanity ReStore call 260-356-8002. The ReStore is located at 250 Commerce Dr. Huntington, IN 46750 and store hours are Wednesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
