Board of Directors




Erika Bailey


Erika is a Wabash County resident and the Branch Manager for First Farmers Bank & Trust in Wabash and Huntington. She brings the knowledge and experience from her background in financial services and a desire to serve others. In addition to Habitat, she has volunteered with organizations such as Junior Achievement and local food banks. Erika joined the Wabash Board of Directors because she believes that the work Habitat for Humanity does benefits not only Habitat families, but the entire community.

Dan Early

Vice President

Dan is a lifetime resident of Wabash County. He has served Wabash County Habitat for Humanity for over 15 years as a volunteer and a board member. Throughout his decade and a half of service, Dan has witnessed the positive difference an affordable home can be for a family. Building alongside future homeowners, volunteers, and community members, he believes, is a rewarding experience, and he continues to advocate for Habitat for Humanity and the community.

Jinny Hartley


Jinny is a lifelong Wabash County resident and is the eServices Manager for Beacon Credit Union.  Jinny brings to our Board a solid background in volunteerism and the desire to give back to her community, along with the desire to create a brighter future for others.  She has been a part of "Blessings in a Backpack" and has also served as a Board member for the Wabash County Hospital Gala Foundation.  She has joined our Habitat for Humanity Board because she believes in the integrity of our mission of "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope."

Emily Poston


Emily lives in north Manchester with her family. She works in the benefits department with DeHayes group. She enjoys serving on the Habitat board and serving in her community.

Matthew Johns

Matthew grew up and lives in Howard County (Kokomo, IN). He attended two semesters at Ball State and two semesters at IU earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Growing up he worked with multiple low-income groups in assisting in their programs such as; the food bank, buddy bags, and several others. Having bought his own house in 2019, he wants to help others create and have a place to call their own.

Parker Maish

Parker is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio but relocated to his wife’s home town of North Manchester to raise their family. Parker works for MBN Properties a Columbia City based home building company. Parker loves being able to raise his family in Wabash County with a fantastic community of family and friends.

Janet Shoemaker

Janet became a resident of Wabash County when she married her farmer husband, the late Larry Shoemaker. She retired after 42 years in education. She was employed by Marion Community School, Wabash City School, and St. Bernard School. She completed her career as principal of Southwood Elementary, MSD Wabash County. Janet is a member of St. Bernard Church and a former member of the Wabash County United Fund Board. She is the proud mother of a son and a daughter and grandmother of five children.
