NAP Tax Credits
How do the tax credits work? NAP credits are a great way to support Habitat while gaining significant tax credits. Donations of $100 or more are eligible for a 50% tax credit and a deduction at the federal level if you itemize. Each $100 in gifts from an Indiana resident whose tax bracket is 28% generates an estimated $64 in tax savings ($50 NAP tax credit and $14 in federal tax savings), thus each $100 you give costs you only $36 (check with your financial advisor to see how NAP will work for you).
NAP donations are specifically designated and cannot be applied towards other Habitat funds. NAP tax credits will be available July 13, 2022. Please contact Becky at the Wabash County Habitat for Humanity office at (260) 563-9188. Gifts are processed in the order in which they are received.
